Echizen Ware Pottery Experience

Echizen Town is counted as one of Japan's Six Ancient Kilns and is a production area for Echizen ware. At the experience workshop in Echizen Pottery Village, you can experience authentic pottery-making using hand-shaping and electric pottery wheels. Crafting vessels that take advantage of the characteristic natural glaze's subtle finish of Echizen ware results in pieces with character, even for beginners. Instruction is provided by working Echizen ware artists. Completed pieces are fired in a kiln about one month later and delivered to your home.
