Sabae City boasts over 95% of Japan's domestic eyeglass frame production market share and is a mecca for eyeglasses. At the Eyeglass Museum, you can experience carving acetate material and creating your own original frames. You choose the color and shape to your preference, and the process of polishing under the guidance of skilled craftspeople takes approximately 5 hours for an authentic hands-on experience. The finished frames can have lenses inserted and be used in practice. The museum's exhibits are also very comprehensive.
