Tobe Zoo is one of Shikoku's largest zoos. It's the birthplace of the polar bear Peace, where you can interact with adorable animals.
Tobe Zoo is one of Shikoku's largest zoos that raises about 170 species and 800 individual animals, and is famous as the birthplace of Peace, the polar bear that was the first to be successfully artificially raised in Japan. The vast zoo grounds feature popular animals such as African elephants, giraffes, and red pandas, and in the petting area, you can directly touch rabbits and guinea pigs. The grounds, which take advantage of natural terrain, are also suitable for strolling, and a family plan combining a tour of Tobe ware kilns is recommended.
