Matsuyama Castle Panorama View

Matsuyama Castle, located at 132 meters above sea level on Shiroyama, is one of the Twelve Existing Keeps. From the castle keep, a magnificent panorama of Matsuyama cityscape and the Seto Inland Sea spreads out. You can easily reach the mountaintop by ropeway or lift, and enjoy splendid castle architecture such as stone walls and turrets while strolling along the pathways around the castle grounds. In spring, it's also popular as a famous cherry blossom spot, with approximately 200 Somei Yoshino trees adorning the castle. Combined with Dogo Onsen, you can efficiently tour Matsuyama's classic sightseeing course.
