Tappizaki Cape in Sotogahama
外ヶ浜町, Aomori
Feel the winds of the Tsugaru Strait at Tappizaki, the northernmost point of Tsugaru Peninsula
Located at the northernmost point of Tsugaru Peninsula, Tappizaki is a precipitous cape overlooking the Tsugaru Strait. There is a song monument for Sayuri Ishikawa's "Tsugaru Kaikyo Winter Scenery," and pressing a button plays the song. Japan's only "stairway national road" is also located here. Famous for strong winds, on clear days you can see Hokkaido, and the tidal currents of the Tsugaru Strait unfold dramatically before your eyes.
