A winter experience where you build your own kamakura in the snowy region of Yokote and light candles inside
Kamakura is a winter tradition of Yokote City. You can experience building your own large kamakura, unique to snowy regions, and lighting candles inside. If you visit during the traditional event period when local children welcome you with 'Haitte tanse' and serve warm sweet sake, your heart will be warmed by their hospitality. As night falls, hundreds of mini kamakura light up, and the snowy landscape shines with a magical glow.
