Akita Oga Namahage Kids Workshop
男鹿市, Akita
A kids workshop in Oga where children create original Namahage masks using paper clay
At the workshop attached to the Namahage Museum in Oga City, children can experience making original Namahage masks using paper clay. Whether to make it scary or cute is up to the child. Once painted and dried, a one-of-a-kind Namahage mask is complete. Since you can also learn about Namahage culture and its origins in a fun way, it's a heartwarming experience watching children wearing their handmade masks and shouting 'Is there a crying child!?'
