Happo Shirakami Geopark Viewpoint

Happo Shirakami Geopark is uniquely situated at the western edge of the Shirakami Mountains, where you can simultaneously enjoy a UNESCO World Heritage beech forest and the Sea of Japan coastline. Scattered throughout are geo-sites such as Chigoki Cape and Tsubaki Coast where you can sense the history of the earth. While listening to your guide's explanation, you can learn about the formation of the land. From the observation deck, you have a panoramic view of the sunset over the Sea of Japan and the Shirakami mountain range, and the scenery at dusk is so beautiful it leaves you speechless.
