Takeshima and Yaomotomi Shrine - a power spot in Mikawa Bay reached by a 387-meter bridge
Takeshima, the symbol of Gamagori, is a small island connected to the opposite shore by a 387-meter bridge with a circumference of approximately 680 meters. The entire island is designated as a national natural monument, and 238 species of warm-climate plants naturally grow there. Yaomotomi Shrine, enshrined in the center of the island, is one of Japan's Seven Benzaiten and is popular as a power spot for matchmaking. At low tide, you can also enjoy observing sea creatures in the tide pools.
