Aibetsu Kinoko no Sato Direct Sales Store

Aibetsu Town is proud of being Japan's #1 producer of maitake and nameko mushrooms, known as "Kinoko no Sato" (Mushroom Land). In the town's direct sales shops, morning-picked maitake, enoki, shiitake, nameko and other mushrooms are lined up at half the market price or less. During the fall "Kinoko no Sato Festival," giant mushroom hot pots are served and the entire town becomes a mushroom wonderland. At the light food corner attached to the direct sales shop, you can also enjoy mushroom tempura and mushroom soup.
