A representative science museum of Japan located in Ueno Park. Composed of the Japan Hall and Earth Hall, it displays approximately 25,000 specimens and materials including a complete dinosaur skeleton, the taxidermied remains of Hachiko the loyal dog, and an actual Zero fighter plane. With many interactive exhibits where you can view and touch real objects, it's enjoyable for both children and adults. In a single day, you can learn about Earth's history, the diversity of life, and the development of science and technology through its enriching content. Special exhibitions are always very popular and often draw crowds on weekends and holidays. The museum shop's science merchandise is also popular.
