Tsurugisan Hiking
Tsurugisan Hiking - The Second Highest Peak in Shikoku. Easily accessible by lift, with a bamboo grass meadow summit offering an outstanding sense of openness.
Tsurugisan, at 1,955 meters elevation, is the second highest peak in Shikoku and has been selected as one of Japan's One Hundred Famous Mountains. From the Minonokoe trailhead, using the lift you can ascend to the 1,750 meter elevation point in one go, from which an easy 40-minute hike to the summit awaits. The summit area is blanketed with Miyama kumazasa bamboo grass meadows, creating an open space with a 360-degree panorama. The ridge trail to Jirogiyu is known as the finest ridgeline in Shikoku, and we highly recommend it for experienced hikers.
