Shiretoko Cruise is a popular activity that allows you to enjoy the magnificent nature of the Shiretoko Peninsula, registered as a World Natural Heritage site, from the sea. Departing from Utoro Port, the approximately 3-hour cruise takes you to sheer cliffs exceeding 100m in height, Kamuiwakka Falls, and Shiretoko Cape, where you may encounter wild animals such as brown bears and white-tailed eagles. On small boats, you can approach sea caves for an impressive experience. The cruise operates only in summer and may be canceled depending on weather conditions, but the view of the Shiretoko mountain range on clear days is spectacular.
