Shimanami Kaido is a world-renowned cycling road approximately 70km in total length connecting Onomichi City in Hiroshima Prefecture and Imabari City in Ehime Prefecture. Cycling while crossing 7 bridges spanning the 6 islands of Mukaishima, Innoshima, Ikuchijima, Omishima, Hakatajima, and Oshima to view the beautiful multiple islands of the Seto Inland Sea is an extraordinary experience. Rental cycle terminals are set up on each island so that even beginners can enjoy it, and it's possible to drop off at any point along the way. The appeal is being able to ride at your own pace while enjoying the different scenery and local specialties on each island.
