Otaru Glass Craft Experience

Otaru is known as a city of glass crafts that developed from the manufacturing of glass floats used in herring fishing. On Sakai-machi Street, there are multiple glass workshops where you can enjoy glass blowing experiences, dragonfly bead making, sandblasting experiences, and more. The appeal is that under the guidance of craftsmen, you can create one-of-a-kind original glasses and accessories. The experience takes approximately 30 minutes to 1 hour, and you can take home your creations as souvenirs from your trip. Hokuitsu Glass and the Venetian Art Museum are also popular glass museum spots to visit together.
