Kokusai Street Stroll
Enjoy diverse souvenir shopping at Naha's main street, Kokusai Street, featuring Ryukyu glass and Okinawan sweets.
Kokusai Street is a major thoroughfare running through the center of Naha City, approximately 1.6 km long, and is Okinawa's most bustling commercial district. About 600 shops line the street, including Ryukyu glass, bingata accessories, Okinawan sweets such as chinsuko and sata andagi, and awamori specialty shops, offering no shortage of souvenir choices. In the Makishi Public Market, accessible from a side street, fresh island fish and Okinawan specialties like pork face (chiragaa) are available, and you can have them prepared in the second-floor food court. On Sundays, it becomes a transit mall where you can also enjoy performances such as eisa.
