Meguro Parasite Museum
The world's only museum specialized in parasites. Unique exhibitions that stimulate intellectual curiosity, including specimens such as an 8.8-meter-long tapeworm.
A museum specialized in parasites that opened in 1953, the world's only of its kind. Approximately 300 specimens are displayed, and the impressive 8.8-meter-long liquid-preserved tapeworm specimen is truly striking. While you can learn academically about parasite ecology and their effects on the human body, its visual impact has also made it quietly popular as a "date spot." Admission is free and the museum is operated through donations. The tapeworm T-shirts at the museum shop are also popular souvenirs among foreign tourists. It's easily accessible within walking distance from Meguro Station.
