Asahikawa Science Museum Sai Pal
An Asahikawa science museum with rich interactive exhibits. Planetarium and zero-gravity experiences are hugely popular with children.
Asahikawa Science Museum Sai Pal is an interactive science museum divided into three themes: 'Northern Lands,' 'Earth,' and 'Universe.' In the minus-30°C extreme cold experience room, you can do experiments like freezing soap bubbles and pounding nails with frozen bananas, which is hugely popular with children. In the space corner, there are devices for simulating zero-gravity conditions and a lunar surface walking simulator. The planetarium screens programs that recreate Hokkaido's starry skies. Since it's enjoyable even on rainy days or cold winter days, it's highly valued as a family-friendly destination for Asahikawa tourism.
