Kabuki-za
The temple of Japanese traditional performing arts and kabuki. A symbol of Ginza where you can easily make your kabuki debut with a single-act viewing seat.
The main headquarters of kabuki with a history dating back to its opening in 1889. The current building is the fifth generation, rebuilt in 2013, blending traditional Momoyama architectural style on the exterior with a modern interior. For beginners, the "single-act viewing seat" where you can watch just one act is recommended, allowing you to experience kabuki from around 1,000 yen. With an earphone guide, you can enjoy the performance while listening to explanations of the plot and highlights. In the basement, there's also the Kabuki-za Gallery and a souvenir shop, where you can casually experience the world of kabuki.
