Akita Beauty Hot Spring - Hikage Hot Spring
A hot spring said to be the secret to Akita beauty, known for its beautiful skin-nourishing waters. Two types of spring water can be enjoyed: sulfur springs and sodium springs.
Nestled in the mountains of Odate City, Akita Prefecture, Hikage Hot Spring is a historic hot spring inn that opened in Meiji 26 (1893). With two different types of spring water—sulfur springs and sodium-chloride springs—it is beloved as the 'Akita Beauty Hot Spring' for its excellent skin-beautifying effects. The milky-white sulfur springs smooth the skin, while the clear sodium springs excel at moisturizing. By alternately enjoying both spring qualities, even higher skin-beautifying effects can be expected. It is an ideal inn for leisurely enjoying hot spring therapy in a quiet mountain setting.
