Suehiro Sake Brewery Kaei Storehouse, founded in 1850 (Kaei 3rd year), is a historic sake brewery in Aizu-Wakamatsu. It brews sake using traditional methods with groundwater from the Iidake Mountain range and sake rice produced in Aizu. The free brewery tour guides you through the Meiji-era storehouse while explaining the sake-brewing process, and concludes with tastings of several types of sake. There is also a Taisho-era-style café space where you can enjoy coffee and sweets in the brewery atmosphere. It is a precious spot where you can experience Aizu sake culture.
